Another Eden Begins
Another Eden Begins is a turn-based Japanese RPG from Wright Flyer Studios and a reworked, standalone release of the Another Eden story, whose main scenario was written by Masato Kato. It follows Aldo, a young man from the village of Baruoki, after his sister Feinne is taken when the Beast King's forces overrun the village, and the time travel that opens the Present, Antiquity and Future eras as the party chases her across history. Combat is turn-based around a party of six with four active members, built on elemental weakness hits that fill the Another Force gauge, and progression runs through class changes, Another Dungeons, Grasta and Manifest weapons rather than a single linear level track. The game keeps the original's no-stamina structure, so exploration and story progress are not gated behind an energy meter, and it adds Another Dungeons as the repeatable gear and experience loop between story chapters.
Key Systems
- Another Force - A party-wide gauge that fills as the party attacks and exploits elemental weaknesses. Triggering it stops the clock and lets every party member chain attacks and skills in sequence, which makes it the answer to boss damage checks rather than a finisher on its own.
- Party of Six, Four Active - The party holds six characters with four on the field and two in reserve. Members can be swapped freely during battle, so a fight is planned around which four are active at a given moment rather than around a single fixed lineup.
- Elemental Weakness Chart - Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Shade, Thunder and Crystal attacks hit different resistances. Landing a weakness raises damage and fills the Another Force gauge faster, so scanning a boss and rebuilding the party around its weakness is the core preparation loop.
- Another Dungeons - Repeatable dungeon runs that consume keys and return materials, experience, Light and Shadow, and the upgrade items that story chapters do not hand out. They are the main grind loop between chapters and the place most gear progression actually happens.
- Light and Shadow - Each character carries a Light or Shadow value that rises when duplicate copies are pulled or specific items are used. Higher values add flat stat bonuses and increase the rewards an Another Dungeon run pays out, tying roster depth to farming efficiency.
- Class Change - Characters advance through three, four and five star classes, and each step unlocks new skills, higher stat caps and a new set of equippable weapons and armour rather than simply raising numbers.
- Grasta - Gem-like items slotted into a character's grid for stat and ability bonuses. Grasta are farmed from Another Dungeons and specific bosses, and assembling a grid is the last layer of power on a finished character.
- Manifest Weapons and Awakening - Character-specific weapons that unlock a Manifest skill when equipped and can be awakened with materials to push that character's signature attack into its final form.
- No Stamina or Energy Gate - Story chapters, exploration and Another Dungeons are all available without an energy meter, so the only limits on a session are keys for dungeons and the player's own time.
