Metal Eden cover

Metal Eden is a 2025 first-person shooter developed by Reikon Games, the studio behind RUINER, and published by Deep Silver. It is set on Moebius, an orbital city built as humanity's new home after Earth became uninhabitable, where minds are stored in devices called Cores. The player controls ASKA, an advanced Hyper Unit android sent on a suicide mission to rescue the citizens' Cores from the city, which has been turned into a deadly trap by a faction known as the Engineers. Combat mixes fast arena shooting and parkour traversal with the signature Core system, in which ASKA tears the cores out of enemies to finish them instantly and turn the core into a resource. The campaign runs across nine missions and was released on September 2, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Key Systems

  • Core Ripping - ASKA can tear the Core out of a weakened enemy, killing it instantly and pulling the core free. Cores are the game's central resource and its signature finisher, and the rip runs on a cooldown that upgrades can shorten.
  • Cores as Weapons and Healing - A ripped Core can be thrown as an explosive projectile or consumed, and cores picked up in the world feed the same economy, so every kill is also a decision about resources.
  • Parkour and Arena Combat - Fights are built around constant movement, with wall running, dashing, sliding and mid-air aiming letting ASKA chain traversal into shooting instead of holding ground behind cover.
  • Dust and the Pig Shop - Upgrades are bought with Dust at the Pig Shop, which is where guns, melee attacks and ASKA's abilities are levelled between missions.
  • Nine-Mission Campaign - The story runs from the tutorial mission Crash Course through eight further missions, with a Chapter Select available for replaying levels and collecting missed pickups.
  • Difficulty Tiers and One Ups - The campaign can be played on escalating difficulty levels up to Brutal, and each mission hides One Up collectibles that are tracked per level.
