Granblue Fantasy: Relink
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a 3D action RPG from Cygames that turns the long-running Granblue Fantasy browser and mobile series into a full console adventure. The Captain and the crew of the airship Grandcypher arrive in the western reaches of the Zegagrande Skydom, where a skirmish over the primal beast Lyria pulls them into a war against the Avia Empire and its generals. Combat is real-time and party-based: you control one of a large roster of playable skyfarers, swap between them during a fight, and chain Link Attacks, Skybound Arts and Chain Bursts with three AI companions. Progress runs through story chapters, Fate Episodes that unlock new crewmates, and a quest counter that scales from early hunts to Proud and Chaos tier endgame fights, with online co-op for up to four players. The game launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC on February 1, 2024, and the Nintendo Switch 2 version arrived alongside the Endless Ragnarok expansion in July 2026.
Key Systems
- Real-Time Party Action Combat - You control one skyfarer while three AI crewmates fight alongside you, and you can tag between characters mid-combo to keep pressure on a boss.
- Link Attacks and Chain Bursts - Filling the link gauge with coordinated hits triggers a Link Attack, and stacking Skybound Arts across the party fires a Chain Burst for burst damage.
- Crewmate Cards and Fate Episodes - New playable characters are recruited through crewmate cards and short Fate Episodes rather than a linear class system, so the roster grows as you progress.
- Sigils and Wrightstones - Builds are assembled from sigils slotted into a limited grid plus wrightstones that upgrade a weapon, which is where most of the endgame damage scaling lives.
- Quest Counter Progression - After the story, the quest counter gates harder hunts by Skyfarer Grade, climbing through Hard, Very Hard, Extreme, Maniac, Proud and Chaos tiers with online matchmaking.
- Assist Mode - An accessibility option that automates attacks, dodges and skill use, letting players focus on movement and positioning.
