Hytale is a sandbox action-adventure game with RPG elements developed by Hypixel Studios and released into Early Access on January 13, 2026 after a fan-driven revival, published independently after the original founders re-acquired the studio from Riot Games in November 2025. Set in an infinite procedurally generated world, players explore distinct zones from the Emerald Grove to the Howling Sands, Whisperfrost Frontiers and the Devastated Lands, gathering resources, building shelters, befriending NPC tribes, and fighting hostile monsters. The game blends combat, exploration, farming and building with a deep creative toolset and modding support, including a model maker, plugin system and scripting API. Combat balances melee, ranged and magic, while progression centers on gear crafting tiers, skill training and world progression. The game targets both solo survival-adventure play and multiplayer cooperative servers.
