Name Type Description Unlocked Source
Kong Bananza Bananza Form The default transformation and the one the campaign is named for. Available early in the descent Story progression
Zebra Bananza Bananza Form A speed form. DK gallops on all fours, crossing open ground far faster than he can run and smashing through thin obstacles on the way. Unlocked during the descent Story progression
Ostrich Bananza Bananza Form The mobility form. Long legs give DK a much higher jump and a glide, and the form's kicks break objects at range. Unlocked during the descent Story progression
Elephant Bananza Bananza Form A utility form built around the trunk. DK inhales loose terrain and stored water and sprays it back out, which clears rubble, fills gaps, puts out hazards and moves material that punching would only scatter. Unlocked during the descent Story progression
Snake Bananza Bananza Form A climbing and infiltration form. DK slithers up vertical surfaces, squeezes through gaps too narrow for his normal body and reaches ledges that are otherwise sealed off, which opens shortcuts and hidden rooms across the layers. Unlocked during the descent Story progression
Giraffe Bananza Bananza Form A reach form. The stretched neck lets DK grab, swing from and strike objects high above his normal height, turning ceilings and overhead structures into usable terrain and giving access to collectibles placed out of every other form's range. Unlocked during the descent Story progression
DK Punch Core Ability DK's basic attack and the engine of the whole game. Available from the start Default move set
Roll Attack Core Ability The classic Donkey Kong roll, kept as a movement and combat tool. Available from the start Default move set
Ground Pound Core Ability A downward slam that shatters floors and drops DK into the space beneath, which is often the fastest way to move between the levels of a layer. Available from the start Default move set
Grab and Throw Core Ability DK picks up enemies, rocks, crates and chunks of terrain and throws them. Available from the start Default move set
