Persona 4 Revival

Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of Atlus' 2008 role-playing game Persona 4, rebuilt by the company's P-Studio team and published by Sega. The story follows Yu Narukami, a high school student who moves to the rural town of Inaba for a year and becomes caught up in a series of murders tied to a mysterious television world, forming an investigation team with his classmates and entering the TV World to rescue the victims before the fog closes in. The game keeps the original's calendar-driven structure, Social Link bonding and turn-based Press Turn style combat built on weakness exploitation, One More turns and All-Out Attacks, while presenting the town, dungeons and cast with modern presentation. Persona fusion in the Velvet Room, weather and fog scheduling, and the everyday slice-of-life loop of school, part-time jobs, clubs and town events remain the core of the experience. The remake was announced in 2025 as part of Atlus' wave of Persona re-releases following Persona 3 Reload.

Key Systems

  • Calendar and Weather System: the year runs day by day from April to March, and the fog schedule decides when a kidnapped victim must be rescued before the case fails.
  • Social Links: bonding with classmates, family and townspeople ranks up Confidant style links that grant fusion experience bonuses and unlock ultimate Personas for party members.
  • Weakness and One More Combat: hitting an enemy's elemental weakness or landing a critical knocks it down and grants an extra turn, while downing every enemy enables an All-Out Attack.
  • Persona Fusion: the Velvet Room lets the protagonist combine captured Personas into stronger ones, inherit skills, and register them to a compendium for later resummoning.
  • TV World Dungeons: each rescue arc generates a themed dungeon with a fixed top floor and randomized floors beneath it, gated behind the missing person's location clues.
  • Daily Life Management: school, part-time jobs, clubs, stat-raising activities and town events all consume the same limited daily time slots as dungeon diving.
  • Party and Battle Commands: up to four characters fight at once, and party members can be set to direct control or to AI tactics with adjustable behavior.
