Ninja Gaiden 4 is a hardcore character action game co-developed by Koei Tecmo's Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, and published by Xbox Game Studios. Set in a neon-soaked, cyberpunk-coded future Tokyo overrun by Majin demons, it follows new protagonist Yakumo of the Raven Clan and returning legend Ryu Hayabusa as they fight to break the Dark Dragon's curse. Combat blends the series' signature precise blocking, delimbing and obliteration with a new weapon transformation system and gauge-based trance states. It launched October 21, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, day one on Xbox Game Pass.

• Weapon Transformation: Yakumo's weapons shift between their base form and a Bloodraven form mid-combo, unlocking altered movesets and heavier, more brutal attacks as his Blood Gauge fills.
• Blood Gauge / Bloodraven: Yakumo's gauge-based trance state functions like a Devil Trigger, boosting his speed and power and unlocking Blood Ninjutsu techniques once charged.
• Dual Protagonists: Players control newcomer Yakumo and the returning Ryu Hayabusa, each with a distinct style; Ryu wields the iconic Dragon Sword and enters his own Gleam-powered trance instead of Yakumo's Bloodraven.
• Signature Delimbing & Obliteration: Series-trademark dismemberment lets players finish off mutilated enemies with cinematic, high-damage Obliteration Techniques.
• Vertical Ninja Traversal: Wall-running, wall-jumping, and building-scale parkour across the neon skyline of cyberpunk Sky City Tokyo.
• Shinobi Arsenal: Shuriken throws, ninja runs, and a deep weapon roster spanning katanas, dual blades, rapiers, war scythes, and the ultimate Dark Dragon Blade.
• Divine Dragon Order Foes: War against a technologically advanced military order and legions of Majin demons pouring through the gates of the demon realm.
