Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection gathers the three Mega Man Star Force action RPGs that Capcom originally released on the Nintendo DS, reissued together for modern platforms in 2026. The trilogy follows Geo Stelar, a withdrawn boy who bonds with the fugitive alien EM being Omega-Xis and gains the ability to Wave Change into Mega Man, fighting threats that travel through the electromagnetic wave world. Battles are card-driven real-time action: the player loads a folder of Battle Cards before a fight, then spends card slots from the Custom Screen while dodging and firing. Across the three titles the series layers on Brother Band links, the Tribe On forms of Star Force 2 and the Noise Change system of Star Force 3, all set in the near-future wave technology world of Echo Ridge.
Key Systems
- Wave Change — Geo Stelar merges with the alien EM being Omega-Xis to become Mega Man, the transformation the whole series is built on and the base the later Tribe On and Noise Change forms are layered onto.
- Battle Card Combat — Fights are real-time action, but the player's offence comes from a Custom Screen of Battle Cards: a folder is loaded before the battle, then card slots are spent turn by turn on swords, cannons, recoveries and support effects while dodging enemy attacks.
- EM Wave World Exploration — The world is split between the physical world and the electromagnetic wave world. Wave Roads and Wave Stations let Geo and Omega-Xis travel through the wave world and reach places he cannot get to on foot.
- Brother Band and Link Power — Linking with other characters through the Brother Band builds Link Power, which raises stats and unlocks abilities, making the series' social links part of character progression.
- Program Advances — Playing a specific combination of Battle Cards in the same turn fuses them into a single stronger attack, a system carried over from the Battle Network games.
- Tribe On (Star Force 2) — The second game adds three tribes, Zerker, Ninja and Saurian, which can be activated in battle to change Mega Man's form, element and attacks.
- Noise Change (Star Force 3) — The third game introduces Noise, a corrupting power tracked by the Noise Gauge that grants Noise Changes, altered forms and access to stronger cards as the gauge fills.
- Net Battles and Card Trading — Multiplayer modes let players fight one another and trade Battle Cards, feeding collection progress back into the single-player campaigns.
- Three Complete Campaigns — The collection presents all three Star Force titles together, each keeping its own storyline, its own card pools and its own post-game content rather than being merged into one game.
