Backlight Bleed Test

Displays a completely black screen with max brightness instructions to help users check for light leaking around the edges of their monitor.
Preparation:
  • Turn off the lights in your room (make it as dark as possible).
  • Set your screen brightness to 100%.
  • Clean your screen to avoid confusing dust with pixels.

How to Use

  1. Ensure your room is dark and monitor brightness is set to maximum.
  2. Click "Start Black Screen Test".
  3. Look at the edges and corners of your screen. Ideally, the screen should be uniformly black.
  4. If you see uneven patches of light leaking from the edges, that is backlight bleed.
  5. Click anywhere or press ESC to exit the test.
