DPS Calculator
Work out burst, sustained and effective DPS for any weapon or ability: fold in crit chance, crit multiplier, reloads and accuracy, then see time to kill against any enemy and compare builds side by side.

How the numbers are built
Average damage per attack = base damage × hits × (1 + bonus%) × (1 + crit chance × (crit multiplier − 1)) × hit chance. Burst DPS ignores reloads, sustained DPS spreads one reload across every magazine, and effective DPS also applies the target's damage reduction and weakness multiplier.
Features
- Burst, sustained and target-adjusted effective DPS from one set of inputs
- Crit chance and crit multiplier folded into a true average damage per attack
- Magazine size and reload time modelled for realistic sustained damage and firing uptime
- Time to kill, hits to kill and reloads needed against any enemy health pool
- Target damage reduction and elemental weakness multipliers
- Save and compare multiple builds side by side, stored locally in your browser
- Attack speed entered as attacks/second, rounds per minute or seconds per attack
- Presets for FPS, MMO melee and ARPG spell damage profiles
How to Use
- Enter the base damage per hit and how many hits a single attack lands (pellets or multi-hit ticks).
- Set your attack speed and pick the unit your game uses — attacks per second, RPM or seconds per attack.
- Add magazine size and reload time if the weapon reloads, or leave the magazine at 0.
- Fill in your crit chance, crit multiplier, bonus damage and accuracy under Modifiers.
- Describe the target: health pool, damage reduction and any weakness multiplier.
- Read the effective DPS and time to kill, then hit Save current to park the build and compare it against your next setup.
